Pieceful Life

I Like Thursday

I like Thursday! On Thursday, I start to begin looking forward to the weekend, which is pretty funny because the weekend days really aren’t much different than my week days. I like Thursdays because it’s usually one day when the house is very quiet and all I have to do is sew.

I’m joining in with LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color and the rest of the ILT group listed on her site. Feel free to stop over and read some of the other posts!

I have been finishing some UFOs this week. I’ve been hand sewing some bindings down on a few quilts while I catch some shows.

Finishing the binding on my Beothuk Star quilt, pattern by mmm!Qiults - piecefulthoughts.com

I’m finishing up my Beothuk Star quilt here – post coming soon!

When I’m not nestled under a quilt hand stitching, my nose if often in a book.

This Stuart Turton book was an enjoyable read - piecefulthoughts.com

This is the second book I’ve read by this author. It has an interesting plot – a murder mystery that needs to be solved, but there are interesting twists in the story. The book is described as being a little Agatha Christie, a little Downton Abbey, a little Quantum Leap, and a little Groundhog Day – and that’s very true. It was an enjoyable read.

The Weekly Wilbs

Wilbs is content to curl up in my lap while I read or quilt. I have fun snapping photos of his sleeping positions. Not sure what you’d call this pose, but he seems to find it comfortable!

I like Thursday, with its relaxed vibe just before the fun of the weekend. What are you up to this Thursday?

    |I haven’t handstitched a binding in awhile, but like you I do find it relaxing. I’ll leave the curling up to Wilbs. If I tried it I would never be able to straighten up.

I haven’t heard of that author I will check her out – I remember so looking forward to weekends and now they are the same as any other day of the week

Wills is so flexible!! I could never get this body to bend like that. I try to make Saturday’s my weekend day. No company, no going to any stores. I just stay home and play. I retired many years ago and I still enjoy my Saturday’s. Hugs,

Hi again! What an interesting title for a book. I’ll have to see if I can find it in our library! Ahh, Wilbs!! So glad he feels comfortable sleeping in whatever position floats his boat! That double snuggling when he’s on your lap AND a quilt. That sounds just purrfect for January weather to me! ~smile~ Roseanne

Love the colors on that UFO! That book looks interesting – I’ve put it on my reading list. I wish I could do forward folds like that! How nice to be so flexible!

Fun to see you finishing up some UFOs – can’t wait to see Beothuk Star quilt – I loved that pattern. Wilbur’s pose is very interesting…so amazing the ways that cats can contort their bodies.

Hi Wendy, I meant to comment on that yellow in the leaves last post…what shade would you call it…light mustard…I spent time trying to figure it out.
Meanwhile, there is something so satisfying about getting to the binding point of a quilt and perfect for in front of the t.v. And look how peaceful Wilbs looks there in his mistress’s lap.
Btw, my Bird Cove book already arrived !! and I’m reading it…excellent.

wilbur… that is either a yoga pose or a kama Sutra book pose lol… nah! not you! I envy cats the ability to sleep well any time any where. I’ll check out your book, and I start thinking weekend on Fridays because dh is still working.

Hmmm. Perfect weather for cuddling under a quilt with a cat to bind a quilt or read. Don’t know how cats can be so flexible. Wish I was. In the meantime, congrats for getting to that stage in those UFOs.
