Patriotic Tablerunner UFO

This patriotic tablerunner UFO has been on my list for longer than I care to admit. Each year, I’ve told myself I’m going to finish it. Then it got put off because I couldn’t decide how to quilt it. I wanted it done this year, so I got to work.

Rather than fussing over the quilt design, I went with my serpentine stitch on my machine. I love the wavy lines, and it gives the quilt a nice texture. I used Hobbs 80/20 batting, which gives it a lovely weight.

Here’s a full view of the runner, which measures 22″ x 46″. The pattern is an older one from a Gathering Friends tablerunner book. I’ve had this quilt top so long I cannot recall any details on the fabric.

Here’s a close up photo of the quilting. I used Aurifil Dove Grey (#2600) for the quilting.

And here’s a photo of the backing fabric and the quilting.

With this finish, I think I have finally completed all of my patriotic UFOs, and just in time for the month of July.
