Pieceful Monday

Happy Monday, everyone! I finished the wedding quilt top over the weekend. I haven’t gotten a good picture of it yet, but here’s a picture of the blocks before sewing. They took up much of my small living room floor, so look at the quilt, not the mess on the right!

Each block is 17.5″. The quilt will measure roughly 85″ square when completed.

Hopefully I can get some good shots of it outdoors before I hand it off to my long armer, Connie. I am pleased that it came together easily, and while the points aren’t perfect, they matched up better than I anticipated.

The quilt was made using the Vast pattern in Jeni Baker’s Patchwork Essentials: The Half Square Triangle. The bride found the color scheme inspiration from this quilt. I found fabrics in the same color family, but put my own twist on it, making it large enough to fit a queen by adding additional blocks and colors.

So what’s up next? Today I think I will try to complete my Frivols quilt, since the next one is on its way.

They are easy blocks to put together. Perfect for a Monday project.
