A Little Love

I have a little love to share with you today (we all need it, don’t we?). In early December, I encouraged you to set aside your red/pink scraps for a fun little project, and today I want to show that to you.

A Little Love. - my version of the free pattern, Stitches from the Heart, from The Fat Quarter Shop - piecefulthoughts.com

This little heart quilt is made with the Stitches from the Heart free pattern from The Fat Quarter Shop. The pattern gives two sizes, 35″ square and 12″ square. My little quilt is the 12″ version, made with scraps. I did some quick crosshatch quilting with Aurifil thread in pink.

With February just a few weeks away, this is the perfect pattern to show a little love to someone who needs it. The pattern can be made quickly, either with a kit from The Fat Quarter Shop, or using fabrics from your stash. Another nifty item for making this quickly are Triangles on a Roll from The Fat Quarter Shop.

You can download the free pattern, order the kit, and watch a video showing how to use the triangle paper right here

If you buzz through your quilt project, and want to make more – there’s also a free cross stitch pattern for the heart design. How fun is that?!

I hope you go get the pattern and show yourself a little love! If you do make one, I’d love to see it!

Wendy
