Fall Mini Quilts

Fall mini quilts have been the theme in my quilt room this weekend, so I thought I’d show you what I’ve made.

Remember those purples and golds from that scrap bundle?

Fall Mini Quilts - I've made three mini quilts from this scrap bundle of purples and golds - piecefulthoughts.com

I hope you’re not too tired of seeing it quite yet. I made a few more quilt projects with it since making the turkey.

Earlier this month I participated in the 2019 Online Quilters Meet & Greet hosted by Benita at Victoriana Quilt Designs. It’s an opportunity to meet fellow quilters in our online community that you may not know. Benita has gathered an amazing group, so it’s worth your while to stop over and visit. Plus, there’s a very generous giveaway too, so you’ll want to participate! The Meet & Greet is going on for the month of September, so you can take your time meeting each quilter.

Crows & Pumpkins

One of the projects I made this weekend was the result of reading through the Meet & Greet posts. Karen of Laugh Yourself into Stitches has some fun fall quilts in her post. I love crows, and if they are with pumpkins, all the better.

Fall Mini Quilts - This cute 7-inch potholder was made using the PieBird pattern from Laugh Yourself into Stitches - piecefulthoughts.com

This is Karen’s PieBird pattern. Cute, huh? The potholder pattern finishes at 7 inches; I added a border so it fit the holder. It is nestled in the corner of my kitchen where it watches over me as I cook. My brother made the clipboard for me, and it works perfectly for this little mat!

Kittens and Pumpkins

If crows and pumpkins aren’t cute enough, how about a kitten and pumpkin?

Fall Mini Quilts - This cute little 6" mini mat was made from a pattern called Autumn Kitty by Center Street Quilts - piecefulthoughts.com

This little 6-inch mini mat is a pattern from Center Street Quilts called Autumn Kitty. It is a fun, quick, paper foundation pattern. My brother made this clipboard as well, and I have this little cutie nestled on the shelves holding my quilting yardage.

With those two projects, my fall decorating is complete. Of course, there’s always the possibility that I might find another fun mini to make!

What about you, are you making any fall projects? Leave me a comment and let me know!

I did some cleaning and organizing in my quilt room this weekend too. I’ll tell you a bit more about that later this week.

Happy Monday, friends!

Linking up today with Becca at Pretty Piney for What I Made Monday.
