Little Miss Sunshine

I’m just popping in to show you Little Miss Sunshine, my little quilt made for the Project Quilting challenge. The past few weeks have been overcast gray days here in my little corner of Minnesota, so when I saw that the challenge colors were yellow and gray, I thought it might be fun to play with my sunshine yellow and gray scraps.

Most of the fabrics are scraps, except for the print, which was a fat quarter. This little mini quilt measures 10.5″ x 23″. I quilted it with a simple straight line stitch, and machine stitched the binding.

This pattern is one of my favorites to make; it makes a perfect little mini to tuck on a counter, or give as a gift. You can see my other quilts using this design here and here. Using the curved templates from Jen Carlton Bailly, as well as her Turbine design, this quilt goes together very quickly.

Now I just need to find a place to display Little Miss Sunshine. If I can’t find sunshine outdoors, I’ll have to find it indoors with this little quilt.

What about you? Are you joining in on the Project Quilting challenge?
