Finally a Finish

Finally a finish – it always feels good to say those words, doesn’t it? It’s been quite awhile since I’ve finished a larger quilt, so I’m excited to show this to you today.

My Squiggles quilt, pattern by Christa Watson, using Alison Glass fabrics - piecefulthoughts.com

My Squiggles quilt is from a quilt along a year (or two?) hosted by Christa Watson. For my quilt, I used Alison Glass Sunprint fabrics with an Alison Glass text fabric. The saturated colors in her fabrics just glow, don’t they? It definitely made sewing all those folded corners more fun, since I had all those pretty colors to look at.

Here’s a close up of the background text fabric, also Alison Glass. You can see Connie’s wonderful quilting, in squiggles, of course!

The background fabric looks like multi-colored confetti. I thought it was perfect for this quilt. It makes me think of a celebration. I finished it off with a multi-colored striped binding. Both of the fabrics came from Bernie at Needle & Foot. In case you didn’t see it above, here’s that fun rolled quilt photo again!

One more view of this lap quilt, with its bright, happy colors.

So – finally a finish! Linking up today with Tish at The Madd Quilter for her UFO Busting Linky Party.
