Charity Quilts

It started with a few charity quilt blocks that I was going to piece and send to Carole at From My Carolina Home. Then I asked my quilt group to join me in making blocks, and boy, did they ever! I’m so grateful to them for joining me in this.

We had enough blocks to make two charity quilts. I thought you’d like to see them before I send them on their way.

The Red Quilt

I’m calling it the red quilt because the blocks are more predominantly red and pink, and it has a red binding.

Connie did a simple crosshatch design for the quilting. Both quilts measure 70 x 98 inches.

I think the jeweled tones of the blocks are so pretty. One of the ladies in our group donated a lovely fabric for the backing.

The Green Quilt

The green quilt has more green/blue blocks and green binding. All the rest of the features of the quilt are the same as the red quilt.

Here’s a closer photo of the green binding and that pretty backing.

Both of these quilts were part of the Hands2Help project hosted by Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict. I’ll be sending these on their way soon!
