Seeing Stars

I’m seeing stars in my quilt room today, and I thought I’d share them with you. Last Friday, you may have seen Vicki’s release of her newest pattern, Patriotic Welcome. If you didn’t see it, you can read her post here. She asked me to test the pattern for her, and I said yes, because her patterns are so well done, and I want to show you my version today.

This is a cute little wall quilt that takes very little time to stitch up. With the way time flies, now would be a great time to make one, because July will be here before we know it, right?!

I’ve had the background fabric in my stash for years, and used it so many times. It was perfect for this pattern. The white fabric is a Libs Elliott design. The red fabric is a piece from my scrap bin.

A little straight line stitching, a little fusing, and it was ready to bind.

Here’s a peek at the back; I used the star fabric for both the backing and the binding. It’s a little easier to see the straight line quilting and the outline of the appliqué stitching.

I thoroughly enjoyed stitching up this pattern for Vicki. If you’re seeing stars and would like to make your own version, you can find the link to the pattern in Vicki’s post

Happy stitching!

Wendy
